Abstract
Achieving climate goals also requires action on existing buildings.
The paper examines options for reducing energy poverty by focusing on technical aspects, such as thermal retrofitting and the use of RES in multifamily buildings. Przedstawiono studium przypadku na podstawie 18-letniego wielorodzinnego budynku mieszkalnego. Uzyskano wyniki w zakresie redukcji zapotrzebowania na ciepło budynku o 26%, a także pokrycia zapotrzebowania na energię elektryczną w niemal 85% w częściach wspólnych budynku oraz na zapewnienie ok. 18% of energy for hot water preparation by PV installation.
The example discussed above shows that including thermal upgrading measures in existing buildings is justified and can lead to a significant reduction in energy poverty.

Abstract
Meeting the climate goals requires action also for the existing buildings.
This paper analyzes the possibilities of reducing energy poverty focusing on technical aspects such as thermal modernization and application of RES in multi-family buildings. A case study based on an 18-year-old multi-family building was presented. The results were obtained in terms of reducing the heat demand of the building by 26%, as well as covering the demand for electrical energy in almost 85% in the common parts of the building and providing about 18% of energy for the preparation of DHW through a photovoltaic installation.
The discussed example shows that it is advisable to cover the existing buildings with thermal modernization measures and can lead to a significant reduction in the phenomenon of energy poverty.

Abstract
The article systematizes information on pre-insulated pipes for use in Polish district heating systems. Omówiono w nim czynniki, które wpływają na właściwości cieplne i mechaniczne rur preizolowanych wykonanych zgodnie z PN-EN 253, zarówno nowych jak i po kilkuletniej eksploatacji.

Abstract
Following article trying to systematize the knowledge concerning preinsulated bonded pipes for District Heating systems in Poland. It consider and discuss the factors which affects to thermal and mechanical properties of district heating bonded pipes manufactured in accordance with PN-EN 253 both factory new and after many years operation.

Abstract
Reducing energy consumption is the problem around which most research work and its applications are focused. W artykule opisano możliwości magazynowania chłodu w postaci jawnej, wykorzystującej pojemność cieplną materiału akumulacyjnego, którym najczęściej jest woda oraz w postaci utajonej, umożliwiającej magazynowanie chłodu w przemianach fazowych zachodzących podczas procesu krzepnięcia i topnienia materiału akumulacyjnego, określanego często jako PCM (Phase Change Material – materiał zmieniający stan skupienia). Ciepło związane ze zmianą stanu skupienia jest kilkanaście razy większe niż ciepło właściwe danego materiału, stąd wielkość zasobników chłodu wykorzystujących ciepło przemian fazowych jest znacznie mniejsza niż zasobników z wykorzystaniem ciepła jawnego. W artykule porównano objętości zasobników chłodu w wybranych systemach wytwarzania chłodu oraz związane z tym wymagane moce urządzeń wytwarzających chłód. W artykule przedstawiono autorską metodę obliczenia mocy agregatu chłodniczego w poszczególnych systemach akumulacji przy uwzględnieniu dobowej zmienności zapotrzebowania na chłód lub przy założeniu procentowego stopnia wykorzystania mocy chłodniczej pobieranej z zasobnika chłodu. Metoda ta umożliwia obliczenie systemu wytwarzania chłodu w układach z pełną i częściową jego akumulacją oraz z limitem mocy chłodniczej. Porównano również wymaganą pojemność zasobników chłodu w systemie z pełną akumulacją w wybranych metodach akumulacji z wykorzystaniem różnych materiałów akumulacyjnych, takich jak: woda, lód binarny, lód w kapsułkach oraz systemy z bezpośrednim i pośrednim wytwarzaniem wody lodowej.

Abstract
The reduction of energy consumption is now an area of research on which most research and technical applications focus. The article presents the possibilities of storing coolness in an sensible form, based on the heat capacity of the storage material, which is most often water, and in a latent form, enabling the storage of coolness in phase transformations during the charging and discharging process of the storage material, often referred to as PCM (Phase Chane Material ‒ a material that changes the state of aggregation). The heat associated with the change of state of aggregation is several times greater than the specific heat of a given material, it is possible to obtain much smaller capacities of the cold storage tanks. The article presents a summary of the volume of coolness accumulators for selected cooling production systems and the related required capacities of devices charging the storage tanks. The article presents a proprietary calculation method that allows to determine the power of a chiller in individual accumulation systems, taking into account the daily variability in the demand for cooling energy or assuming the percentage degree of use of the cooling power from the cooling reservoir. This method makes it possible to calculate the cooling production system for systems in the form of full accumulation, partial accumulation and with a cooling capacity limit. A comparison of the required total capacity of reservoirs in the full accumulation system for selected accumulation methods with the use of various accumulation materials such as water, binary ice, ice in capsules and systems from direct and indirect chilled water production was also presented.

Abstract
Nowadays, air pollution is one of the major global threats to humans and the environment. Forecasting air pollution is possible thanks to artificial intelligence models, including artificial neural networks.
This article presents a smog forecasting model using artificial neural networks created on the basis of the magnitude of PM10 dust concentration in Nowa Ruda in the period 2019-2020 and meteorological data. Do prognozowania wykorzystano sieć neuronową typu perceptron wielowarstwowy. Aby poprawić jakość modelu wykorzystano analizę skupień, dzięki której otrzymano dokładniejszą prognozę.
Przeprowadzone badania wskazują, że wykorzystanie analizy skupień do grupowania wielkości PM10 w zależności od aktualnej temperatury minimalnej znacząco wpływa na jakość prognozy. Wynika to z korelacji niskiej temperatury powietrza, która wymusza ogrzewanie mieszkań, ze wzrostem wielkości niskiej emisji. Zastosowanie zaproponowanej metodyki prognozowania umożliwiło otrzymanie neuronowego modelu predykcji PM10, w którym zależność danych rzeczywistych i prognozowanych wynosiła r=0.99, a średniokwadratowy błąd MSE od 0.021 do 0.159. Tak dokładne prognozowanie zanieczyszczenia powietrza może się przyczynić do poprawy jakości życia i ochrony społeczeństwa przed smogiem.

Abstract
Nowadays, air pollution is one of the main global threats to the environment and humans. Air pollution forecasting is possible thanks to artificial intelligence models, including artificial neural networks. The article presents a smog forecast model with the use of neural artificial networks based on the volume of PM10 in Nowa Ruda in the period 2019-2020 and meteorological data. A multilayer perceptron neural network type was used for prediction. To improve the quality of the model, a cluster analysis was used, thanks to which a more accurate forecast was obtained. The conducted research shows that the use of cluster analysis to group PM10 values depending on the actual minimum temperature significantly improves the quality of the forecast. This is due to the correlation of low air temperature, which causes home heating, with an increase in low emissions. Using the proposed methodology, the PM10 neural prediction models were obtained, for which the relationship between the observed and predicted data was r=0.99 and the mean square error MSE from 0.021 to 0.159. Such accurate forecasting of air pollution may contribute to the improvement of the quality of life and protection of the society against smog.
