PORT PC and SCiAE press release: heat pumps in light of WT 2021 and hydronic loops

Heat pumps in light of WT 2021 and hydronic loops
May 19, 2021. – PORTPC and SCIAE workshop for energy designers, auditors and certifiers.

The Polish Organization for the Development of Heat Pump Technology, together with the Association of Energy Certifiers and Auditors, invites you to a workshop for individuals and representatives of companies working in the field of projects, audits and energy certificates for buildings. The key topics of the webinar, to be held on May 19, 2021, will be the use of heat pumps in light of building energy performance methodologies and the 2021 WT, as well as the use and hydraulic balancing of water loop systems in commercial buildings.

Heat pumps in the methodology of energy performance certificates in light of the new technical conditions 2021

The technical conditions to be met by buildings and their location is a package of regulations governing the design, construction, reconstruction and renovation of buildings. The new technical conditions, effective as of January 1, 2021, introduce significant restrictions on the use of fossil fuel devices and favor the use of RES devices. This part of the webinar will focus on the issue of determining the efficiency of heat sources in the context of the use of heat pumps and heat pump/photovoltaic systems. The POBE guidebook “How to meet the requirements to be met by buildings from 2021 will also be presented. Heating and ventilation in technical conditions”. During the next session, Paweł Lachman – president of PORT PC and Maciej Surówka – president of SCiAE will answer the questions posed in this part of the workshop.

The use of water loops in commercial buildings – hydraulic balancing

The European Green Deal’s key energy sector coupling strategy prioritizes the widespread use of heat pumps in commercial buildings. The strategy calls for the use of electric heat pumps in up to 65% of commercial buildings in 2030.
One important solution in large commercial buildings such as shopping malls is the use of water loop systems. In this part of the webinar we will focus on the issue of hydraulic balancing of such systems. Examples of such solutions will be presented by Wojciech Erchard – an expert from Belimo

Polish Organization for the Development of Heat Pump Technology PORT PC

The Polish Organization for the Development of Heat Pumps (PORT PC) is a trade association that aims to strengthen the image of heat pump technology through the establishment of a quality management system, the development and implementation of technical standards, and the certification and conduct of professional technical advice in the European market. a level recognized on a European scale. PORT PC has been a member of the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) based in Brussels since 2012. In addition, it cooperates with European industry organizations, including the German BWP and the German engineering association VDI. PORT PC is a founding member of the Industry Alliance for Energy Efficiency of Buildings (since 2018).

Association of Energy Certifiers and Auditors

The introduction of energy performance certificates since 2009, has led to a very strong interest in the subject. On September 30, 2009, the founding meeting of the Association of Energy Certifiers and Auditors was held and the original version of the Association’s Articles of Association was adopted. The Association was registered in the National Court Register on April 26, 2010. Originally, a member of SCiAE could become an energy auditor or a person certified to prepare energy performance certificates. In 2013, the Association’s members amended the Articles of Association, opening up to new issues. Currently, the Association’s focus is on the following issues: energy performance, energy auditing, energy efficiency, industrial auditing, enterprise auditing, low emission reduction, construction law, energy-efficient and passive construction, ecology.

The possibility for new members to join the Association has also been facilitated by eliminating the requirement to hold professional licenses. One of the primary goals of the Association is to integrate and increase knowledge in the aforementioned areas among our members. In addition, the Association actively participates in commenting on drafts of new regulations and proposing changes to existing regulations or programs. The Association offers its members the possibility of cheaper purchase of software and participation in training courses.
