PORT PC competition for installation companies for the best example of a solution within the framework of the social action “House Without Bills”
The dynamic development of the market for heat pumps and photovoltaic systems in residential construction in Poland is contributing to the rapid growth of interest in this technology. Today’s solutions in which heat pumps are used are characterized by great innovation, and research and work are still being carried out to increase their energy efficiency. Observing this trend, the Polish Organization for the Development of Heat Pump Technology (PORT PC) decided to announce a competition for installation companies for the best example of a solution within the framework of the “House Without Bills” social action.

Purpose of the competition
The aim of the Competition is to popularize the subject of heat pumps, photovoltaics and ventilation systems with heat recovery in single-family housing, to inspire architects and designers to apply such solutions, to develop scientific and research work related to this subject, to replicate existing installations that have been proven in practice, and thus to increase the number of real applications of heat pumps in this sector, which will result in an increase in the share of RES and improvement of air quality in Poland.
Who is the competition for?
The Competition is open to projects describing examples of single-family houses and estates of single-family houses that are equipped with a heat pump, photovoltaic installation and ventilation with heat recovery and put into use in Poland at least one year before the announcement of the competition.
Contractors in particular are encouraged to apply, but also investors, manufacturers and others who have the knowledge and permission to publish photos and data on interesting projects.
Application deadline
Competition entries prepared in accordance with the competition entry template and the consent and declaration form may be sent up to and including February 14, 2020 to the following email address: biuro@portpc.pl.
Settlement of the competition
The Competition will be decided by the Commission by February 20, 2019, selecting at least 3 best projects, taking into account primarily substantive (e.g., Efficiency), environmental (e.g., RES share, energy efficiency, CO2 reduction volume) and economic (e.g., payback period, financing mechanism) considerations, as well as the ingenuity and multifunctionality of heat pump applications and the versatility and replicability of solutions.
Presentation of awards
You are already cordially invited to the presentation of the projects, which will take place during the award ceremony planned for February 27, 2020 at the VIII PORT PC Congress “New Standards in Building Heating Technology” as part of the ENEX fair in Kielce. The main topic of the VIII PORTPC Congress will be the effective electrification of heating as the main direction of climate neutrality of heating and district heating in the European Union.
